We lately moved into a brand new dwelling proper on the shore of a large lake. Once we attempt to use our deck, we're plagued by swarms of small flies that the locals call midges. Sometimes it looks like there are a whole lot of them sitting on the side of the house. Would it not help if we received one of those bug zapper traps to use round our deck? Unfortunately, midges are something you have got to put up with when you’re fortunate sufficient to dwell close to the water. On the plus aspect, though midges look quite a bit like mosquitoes and even make a buzzing sound like mosquitoes, they don’t chunk. These nuisance midges (also called chironomids) are different than the smaller biting gnats which might be generally called biting midges. Midges are drawn to lights and gentle-colored partitions so outdoor insect control light traps or "bug zappers" do catch a large amount of midges (which most individuals mistake for mosquitoes), however utilizing a mild lure outside throughout a midge hatch is sort of like using a dipper to try to empty the ocean! |
